My online Italian lesson formats, levels and prices
Which online Italian lesson format suits you?
Choose a format to see what it involves, who it is for, how often we meet and what it costs. Every option is online and taught personally by me, with a different balance of individual attention, shared practice and independent work.
Individual lessons
Individual lessons are private one-to-one Italian lessons built entirely around your level, your goals and the way you learn.
Every lesson targets the exact situations you need Italian for, from ordering a coffee to taking part in a work meeting. Before each lesson, I prepare a digital whiteboard just for you, with custom exercises and real materials such as music and film, depending on the day’s focus, so nothing is off-the-shelf and the pace remains yours.

Lessons in a pair
Pair lessons are private Italian lessons for two people at a similar level, learning together for a lower price each.
You share the conversation, a little friendly accountability and the same materials I prepare for both of you. If one of you misses a lesson, you still receive the recording and notes. You can bring a friend, partner or colleague, or I can match you with another learner at your level if you do not have someone in mind.

Learning alongside others brings energy and real conversational dynamics, and it is the most affordable way to study with me because each person pays less as the group grows. Everyone shares the same prepared materials and lesson recordings, so no one falls behind, making this a natural fit for a team, a family or a group of friends.

Which language do I use to explain Italian?
I can explain in English, Russian or Italian, with the language chosen by you in individual lessons and guided self-study. However, with pair and group lessons I will choose the language that everyone taking part understands.
With beginners I usually start with explanations in English or Russian, so nothing feels overwhelming. As your level grows, we naturally shift more and more of the lesson into Italian, until Italian becomes the language of explanation. However, depending on your preference, we can always switch back to English or Russian.
English
I teach comfortably in English at C2, the highest CEFR level, certified by the University of Verona. It is the language I share with most of my students, so I can explain even the most complex Italian grammar clearly.
Русский
Russian is my native language, so nothing gets lost in translation when we share it. If you are a native Russian speaker, it is our best option and is ideal for absolute beginners.
Italiano
Italian is not only the goal but can also become the language of the lesson. As your level grows, we use more and more Italian until it becomes the language I explain in once you are ready to follow it comfortably, although we can always switch back if you feel more at ease in English or Russian.
Which Italian CEFR levels do I teach?
I teach Italian CEFR levels A0–B1, from complete beginner to intermediate. The details for each level I cover are listed below.
-
A0
Absolute beginner
In the A0 level you will learn your very first words, sounds and everyday phrases, as well as how to read and write in Italian. The explanations will be in English or Russian.
-
A1
Beginner
At A1, you learn to introduce yourself, ask and answer simple questions and manage basic everyday needs in Italian by working with the present tense, common verbs and essential vocabulary. Explanations are still mainly in English or Russian.
-
A2
Elementary
At A2, you learn to handle routine situations and short exchanges in Italian, including shopping, asking for directions, describing your day and talking about the past and near future. We also start bringing more Italian into the explanations.
-
B1
Intermediate
At B1, you learn to speak confidently about familiar topics such as work, studies, travel, plans and opinions, while also following longer conversations in Italian. By this stage, most of the lesson is explained in Italian unless you would rather use English or Russian.
How much do my online Italian lessons cost?
My online Italian lesson prices start at €10/person, but the actual price of the lesson varies depending on the plan chosen, the group size and the lesson frequency. You can compare every option on the pricing page or contact me directly on Telegram.
