How much are my online Italian lessons?

My online Italian lessons cost between €10 and €30 per lesson, depending on the format, how often we meet, the size of the group and the length of the lesson, while guided self-study starts at €18 per week.

A weekly 60-minute individual lesson costs €28, or €23 per lesson if we meet twice a week, with the same amount of one-to-one attention whichever pace you choose. Pair lessons last 55 minutes and cost €15 per person, allowing you to share the lesson with someone at a similar level while each paying less than for individual tuition.

Group lessons are the least expensive option, costing €13 per person in a group of three and €10 in a group of four or five. Guided self-study is priced by the week, with €18 covering four asynchronous mini-lessons and €25 covering three mini-lessons together with a 30-minute call.

The lessons are prepaid in blocks of 4 calendar weeks, and the price includes support before and after the lesson, as well as the teaching material and notes. A free trial is available for individual, pair, group or exam-preparation lessons, but not for asynchronous lessons.

Do you offer a free trial?

Yes, the first meeting is a free 45-minute trial with no commitment to continue, and it is mainly a diagnostic meeting with tiny bits of regular teaching, so that we have time to get to know each other and show you my teaching method. We discuss your previous experience, needs and goals before assessing your current Italian level, which allows me to suggest the learning path and lesson format that best fit you. The trial is available for individual, pair, group and exam-preparation lessons, but not for guided self-study asynchronous lessons.

How do I pay for Italian lessons?

You pay for lessons one block at a time and in advance, with each block covering 4 calendar weeks and requiring a single payment before it begins. The details below explain how this works and which payment methods and currencies I accept.

Lessons are paid in advance as one block rather than one lesson at a time. A block covers 4 calendar weeks, and you pay for all of its lessons together before it begins. The first regular lesson is the only exception and can be paid for on its own. The payment reserves your regular time slot and lets me prepare every lesson specifically for you. The block remains valid only during those 4 weeks, and moving a lesson does not extend that period unless we agree that there is a genuine emergency.

You can pay by Wise or by bank transfer to my Euro bank account. I accept payments only in euros (EUR) and US dollars (USD).

Can I get a refund for unused lessons?

Yes. Because you prepay in blocks, you are only ever tied to the lessons you actually take. If you decide to stop before your block expires, let me know at least 24 hours before your next lesson and I refund the future lessons in that block that you have not used yet.

Lessons that are not taken or rescheduled before the block expires are not refundable. A genuine emergency is the only exception, and we agree on it together.

What is included in the Italian lesson price?

Whichever format you choose, the essentials are included in the price. The cards below show the preparation, learning materials and support included with each option.

  • Tailored lessons

Every lesson is built from scratch around your level, your goals and the situations you actually need Italian for.

  • Custom exercises

Targeted grammar, vocabulary and listening tasks, plus interactive Wordwall games prepared around each lesson.

  • Support outside the lesson

Questions between lessons, learning materials and lesson recordings, so you can keep working between our meetings.

  • Your personal whiteboard

Your own Holst board is prepared before every lesson with the activities, materials and explanations selected for you.

  • Personalised Quizlet sets

After each lesson, you receive a Quizlet set with the new words and expressions that came up in our work together.

  • Your personal Google Doc

One shared Google Doc keeps the notes and summaries from all your lessons organised in a single place.

  • Conversational practice

We speak from the very first lesson, so you build real fluency and confidence instead of learning only theory on paper.

  • Grammar practice

Grammar woven into real dialogue and exercises, and explained in the language you understand best.

  • Flexibility in your lessons

You can reschedule within the same 4-week block when the policy allows it. Moving a lesson does not extend the block, except in a genuine emergency agreed with me.
